Meet Edwin
Hi, I’m Edwin, the director. My career started in roles as a financial and production analyst. I learnt many lessons but often felt unsupported, unappreciated and like a replaceable number creating a constant high level of stress.
I have always had a passion for innovative business, I began to envisage an environment that was self-motivating, supportive and inspiring to help this and other businesses evolve.
I wanted to empower others to create a community with a sense of collaboration and unity that acted as an incubator to help them succeed in their dreams.
I invested in developing my skills, knowledge, self-awareness and developing a mindset to build my own business that expresses my values – creating something fantastic for small and start-up businesses.
We undertake continuous training for site managers based on these principles to grow their skills and maintain their own mental and emotional health.
I’m proud to have added The Liskeard Workshed to the group of sites in 2022, which now runs alongside Print Village Studios and Meriton Foundry. Going forward my vision is to continue expanding, helping small and start-up businesses grow and achieve their goals and dreams in a supportive environment.
About Edwin
This experience ended up being key in birthing a desire for alternative ways of living and working. I envisioned a space that was self-motivating, supportive and an inspiring place to be. I wanted to empower others to create a community where there was a sense of collaboration and unity that acted as an incubator to succeed in their dreams.
This dream created the forward momentum to make changes in my life; I invested in myself and in developing my skills, knowledge and self-awareness. I quickly learnt about the power of mindset, wellness and emotional intelligence and started to notice benefits in all areas of my life. I not only began to see improvements in the quality of my life but it broadened my career development.
I decided to go into business so I could create my own vision, expressive in my values and what matters, creating something fantastic for small and medium businesses and where I could implement everything that I’d learnt.
I have harnessed a life-long commitment to growth, both personally and professionally and I wanted to incorporate this into my business. I believe in a business model that thinks not only of strategic and profitable outcomes, but has a commitment to creating wider change in the world through supporting businesses to thrive.
All of the managers are given regular training based on these principles as well tools and skills to maintain their own mental and emotional health.
